[www.inewsguyana.com] – Seventeen – year – old Alferno Archer was remanded to prison by Magistrate Ann McLennan for the offence of robbery under arms.
It is alleged that on August 21, 2015 at West Ruimveldt, Georgetown being in company of another and being armed with a gun, he robbed Janelle Josiah, Kimberly Gilly, Dmitri Howard and Kimberly Moore of two handbags, one Scotia Bank Card, one Blu Cell phone, $6,000 cash and other documents, totaling $ 276,500.
The prosecution explained that on the day in question, the four complainants were all travelling in the same vehicle, when it broke down in the vicinity of West Ruimveldt.
It was then that the accused robbed them at gunpoint. Bail was refused and he will make his next court appearance on September 03.
Opportunist Robber Of Fellow Taxi passengers!
Alferno Archer robbed Janelle Josiah, Kimberly Gilly, Dmitri Howard and Kimberly Moore at gunpoint, when the Taxi they were traveling in broke down, of nearly 300,000 dollars.
This robbery was probably pre-meditated.
Because the alleged taxi broke down, and the accused was well prepared to spring into action, and rob those passengers of their valuables.
A very convenient co-incidence indeed.
