[www.inewsguyana.com] – Seventeen – year old Adrian Harry of Georgetown, appeared before Magistrate Judy Latchman on November 16, where he pleaded not guilty to stealing a cell phone from his friend.

The court heard that on November 11, 2015 in Georgetown, he stole one BLU cellular phone valued $100,000, property of Bestroy Bacchus.

The Prosecution, who had no objection to bail, explained that the virtual complainant and the accused are known to each other. It was noted that on the day in question, the accused asked Bacchus for $200, as he walking home, but Bacchus refused to give him the money; as such Harry snatched his phone and ran away.

The matter was reported to the police and Harry was arrested. When given a chance to say something in court, Harry explained that he never snatched the phone but he “took it” because Bacchus owed him.

Bail was granted bail in the sum of $100,000 and Harry is scheduled to make his next court appearance on November 30 for report.
