Police searching for 17-yr-old alleged attacker
Police are investigating the murder of 16-year-old Brian Charles Yearwood, a student of Covent Garden Secondary School and of 69 Public Road Grove, East Bank Demerara which occurred at about 20:00 hrs Saturday night at Covent Garden Nursery School compound.
Police investigations so far revealed that the victim was attending a concert at the school when he was stabbed once to the center region of his chest, allegedly by a 17-year-old school drop-out from Kaneville, East Bank Demerara, who is being sought by investigators along with several persons who witnessed the incident.
A policeman in attendance at the concert with a relative , responded and with assistance from other persons rushed Yearwood to the Diamond Diagnostic Hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
