16 – Year – old, friend charged with murder of BV Taxi Driver

[www.inewsguyana.com] – Sixteen – year – old Sean Collins of Charlestown, Georgetown and 21 – year – old Michael Bishop of Albouystown, Georgetown were charged on Thursday (January 9) with the murder of Raphael Campbell of Beterverwagting, East Coast Demerara.

They appeared at the Sparendaam Magistrate’s Court before Magistrate Alex Moore and were remanded to prison until February 14. The body Campbell was found at at Liliendaal, East Coast Demerara, on Friday January 3.

A Post Mortem Examination was performed on Monday January 6 by Pathologist Dr. Nehaul Singh, who gave the cause of death as gunshot injuries to the head.

Five men were arrested by police after they were found along the Linden/Soesdyke Highway in the dead man’s car.
