A 14-year-old lad was this morning brutally killed by a man who is suffering from a mental illness at New Amsterdam, Region Six (East Berbice-Corentyne).
Dead is Carlos Leung.
Reports are that the attacker went berserk and used a knife to cut the teen to his arms. The attacker then allegedly sat on the teen, pinning him in a trench, which caused him to suffocate/drown.
Meanwhile, this publication understands another teenager was injured in the incident.
