One month after the tragic Camp Street riot and fire which led to the escape of eight (now three hardcore) inmates and weeks after the Lusignan Prison Break that resulted in the escape of 13 dangerous prisoners (11 of whom were recaptured alive), police are now offering a bounty of $10M to anyone who could provide information leading to the arrest of the remaining four.
Wanted are murder convicts and accused, Mark Durant Williams- who was implicated in the 2008 Bartica Massacre, Uree Varswyck- an ex-officer, Cobena Stephens and Paul Goriah.
Williams, Varswyck and Stephens escaped along with five others- who have since been recaptured- after staging an attack on correctional officers at the Camp Street Prison- killing one officer in the process- on July 9. They had also contributed to setting the building alight and destroying more than half of penitentiary.
As such, thousands of prisoners had to be transported to other penitentiaries countrywide.
However, on July 23, 2017, just after being transferred to the Lusignan Prison walled area, Goriah along with 12 others -11 of whom were re-captured and one killed- escaped from lawful custody by digging a tunnel under the prison compound walls.
Persons with information that may lead to the recapture of these escapees, are asked to contact the Police on telephone numbers 225-6411, 225-8196, 225-2227, 226-1389, 227-2128, 227-1149, 226-7065, 699-0869, 600-3019, 699-0867,669-4606, 603-3261or the nearest Police Station.
