[www.inewsguyana.com] – A horrific accident on the Linden/Soesdyke Highway on Sunday afternoon (September 20) has left 10-month old Aiden Anderson dead and a relative in a critical condition.

The driver of the vehicle, 26 – year – old Mohamed Ali, of Bush Lot also sustained injuries and has been admitted at the Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation (GPHC).
The baby’s mother, Alana Hackett, of Diamond, East Bank Demerara and her nephew, Ameer Mohamed were also inside the vehicle at the time of the accident; however they suffered minor injuries.
According to reports, the family was at the time heading to visit a relative at Long Creek, when tragedy struck around 15:00hrs in the vicinity of Kuru Kururu.
iNews understands that the baby was seated in the front passenger seat with Ameer Mohammed and was the only child of Hackett.
Drivers and parents must be charged for allowing children to travel in the front seat
Condolences to the family. Guyana must raise awareness about child safety seats and children being put in back seats. It saves their lives. We need people to advocate this so these tragedies do not occur. Children under the age of 13 should not ride in front seats. They should be In Seat belts in the rear of the vehicle of in infant/toddler seats. Why is this not of importance to the government. Our children are our future. We must protect them!
VERY SAD! R.I.P little angel, speedy recovery to the family and our prayers are for you all, GOD BLESS you all
This is so heart wrenching. May GODs peace and comfort surround this family as they heal and recover.
I’ve blogged it so many times; whenever I am out on the road and I hear the sound of a Tundra, I get to hell out of the way. Condolences to the relatives of this sweet little baby. RiP.
