A taxi driver was in the wee hours of this morning shot dead while four others were injured during a shootout at the Magic City Night Club, Garnett Street, Kitty, Georgetown.
The dead man has been identified as 21-year-old Raymond Lindo of Diamond Housing Scheme, East Bank Demerara (EBD).
Based on information received the dead man was reported shot several times about his body with one visible gunshot injuries to his abdomen. <<<Inews>>> understands that between 3:00h and 4:30h, gunshots were heard in the nightclub followed by patrons scampering to safety.
Soon after it was reported that five injured men were seen lying on the ground. Lindo reportedly succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
The four others were picked up and rushed to the Georgetown Public Hospital where they were admitted. The identities of the four injured men are still unknown.
