A number of citizens braved the early morning downpours to participate in a national prayer ceremony as part of the country’s inaugural Social Cohesion Day, which is being observed today. The event which was organised by the Ministry of Social Cohesion was held at the Durban Park in Georgetown.
President David Granger and First Lady Sandra Granger, Prime Minister Moses Nagamootoo and his wife, Sita Nagamootoo, other government officials, Members of Parliament and members of the diplomatic community were among those attending the event.
