A report from the Police Force noted that the ranks returned fire during which one of the suspects was shot. He has been identified as Atiba Gardner, 39 years, of Tuschen, East Bank Essequibo, and is under guard at the Georgetown Public Hospital. An unlicensed .32 revolver with five rounds and a spent shell has been recovered by the police.
The two other men who were in the vehicle have been arrested and are in police custody assisting with the investigations. The motor vehicle has been detained.
