[www.inewsguyana.com] – Three bandits at around 4:00hrs on Wednesday, January 28 broke into Survival Supermarket on Sherrif Street, Georgetown.
The alert Security Guard on duty chased after the armed men and managed to tackle one of them while the others escaped.
iNews understands that the men gained entry to the supermarket by cutting the fence and then the glass. The men fired several shots at the supermarket’s security after they were seen but no one was hurt.
Several food items were packed in a bag by the bandits but it was recovered by the police since the men were unable to escape with them.
